Shas Blasting Netanyahu and Lieberman in New Ad Campaign

The Shas Party launched a new ad campaign Monday, with posters featured on thousands of buses and billboards across the country blasting political opponents Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

One sign bears an image of Lieberman wearing a yarmulke, with the caption reading "Only a strong Shas will prevent religious assimilation." The sign featuring prime minister Netanayhu reads "Only a strong Shas will care for the underprivileged."

Meanwhile, Shas secretary Rav Rafael Pinchasi announced on Monday 26 Kislev 5773, that it would be preferable to see Labor Party leader Shelly Yechimovich get elected over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, YWN reports.

Speaking with Ladaat.info, Pinchasi is quoted as saying “I believe the response to my words from party officials will be outrage, but I speak the truth as I see it and I am not deterred by anyone.”

Netanyahu has not acted as expected or promised, Pinchasi said. Yechimovich, Pinchasi explained “isn’t anti-chareidi” as was seen on a number of cases when she supported funding for Haredim in sessions of the Knesset Finance Committee. “She has proven over and over again that she addresses each case on its own merit,” praising the fact she is genuine and unbiased.
