Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu said former IDF chief of staff, Moshe Ya'alon, is "the number one soldier. He brings with him ethics that I can only describe as 'the Israel of yore'."
Ya'alon, who announced Monday that he was joining the Likud, said that his struggle "had not been whether to join this or that party, but whether to enter politics. I know entering politics comes with a price, but I couldn't allow myself to just sit by."
