MK Zeev Elkin who retired from Kadima some ten days ago, is expected to
announce he will be joining the Likud and run for a spot on the party's
Knesset list.
Israel Radio reported that a poll of Israelis of
Russian origin found that Elkin was one of the most popular Israeli
politicians of Russian origin and that one indication that his move is seen
as important is that MK Netanyahu is slated to appear with him at a press
confererence this Wednesday.
