Netanyahu Departed Saturday night for US

(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu departed Sunday morning for Washington, D.C. for talks with U.S. President Barack Obama. The meeting is the first since the two have been elected as leaders of their respective countries.

Netanyahu is expected to present Obama with his new political plan on resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict. The plan was recently formulated by a special team. The plan is expected to include three parts: political, general, and security issues. In addition, the Prime Minister is expected to discuss Iran’s nuclear program, and what the U.S. intends to do to thwart it. During Netanyahu’s absence, Silvan Shalom will be acting Prime Minister.
