PM Netanyahu at Maimouna event: We returned to Israel in order to build and to be built

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (Tuesday), 6.4.10, attended the Kiryat Ata Municipality's Maimouna festivities in a local park, along with Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin, ministers, MKs, local council heads and local residents.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said: "We embrace our past and are surging forward towards the future. It is not by coincidence that we are in this country. We have returned here in order to build and to be built. This is the special destiny of the Jewish People. Here we will stay and here we will build our future, both by deepening the roots of the past and by growing branches such as those that I saw last night at Maimouna festivities in Or Akiva and here today in Kiryat Ata. The prosperity of Or Akiva and Kiryat Ata comes together with the paving of fast highways and interchanges. Very soon, the same thing will happen in the Galilee and the Negev. We are surging forward as a regional economic power and a global technological power. On this festive day, which has become a holiday for the entire nation, I wish the entire Jewish People heritage, security, prosperity andgrowth through unity."

Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife Sara celebrated Mimouna with the Fahima family in Or Akiva, where Netanyahu said "We will continue developing in the north and the south, and certainly in Jerusalem."
