The Knesset plenum approved in Third reading the Economic Arrangements Bill after consecutive discussion that lasted 27 1/2 hours ,63 knesset members voted in favor of the bill, 45 opposed it.
During the 28 hours of deliberation over the bill Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin became upset over the conduct of many MKs, who yelled out 'for' and 'against' in attempts to confuse their opposing peers.
"We are in the Knesset, not a kindergarten," he told the parties present. "There are diversions. The guidelines say an MK shall not confuse another MK, and also that it is not difficult to confuse MKs."
The government is now tasked with the approval of the State Budget, on which deliberations are scheduled to begin Wednesday 9 am.
The debate on the Budget Law is set to begin on Wednesday morning at 9 AM, and the vote is set to begin six hours later. Due to the expected filibustering, the vote is not expected to end before late Wednesday night, and possibly only on Thursday morning.
