(Politico).Joe Biden's speech at AIPAC this morning made the clarifying shape of the U.S.-Israel relationship a bit clearer: The White House is demanding Benjamin Netanyahu recommit to a peace process he's derided.
Israel "has to work for a two-state solution ... not build more settlements, dismantle existing outposts and allow Palestinians freedom of movement," Biden told AIPAC.
Biden also held out the possibility of something Netanyahu is said to want: A warm personal relationship with the White House. He described Netanyahu as an old friend, and joked about Netanyahu's campaign website, which was obviously a copy of Obama's.
"It looked like we were running joint campaigns," he said.
