Likud secretariat allows 'new stars' to compete in primaries

The Likud secretariat has confirmed the shortening of the qualification period for the party's "new stars", which will allows them to run in the primary elections.

Knesset Member Yisrael Katz, the secretariat's chairman, said that "We allowed all the new Likud members to contend. The significant increase expected in the Likud's strength allowed us to add new candidates in order to build an attractive list which will form the next government."
