(Ynet).At the end of the meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama, Netanyahu's entourage reported that the meeting went well and that Obama praised the Israeli government for taking steps to ease up on the Palestinians in recent months.
Netanyahu said to Obama, "Israel seeks to cooperate with the United States in order to promote the peace process." The prime minister also addressed the UN's Goldstone Report on Operation Cast Lead: "This is a test for the international community. If it wants Israel to take risks for the sake of peace, it cannot prevent Israel from protecting itself."
