Barak: Government committed to 2-state solution

Defense Minister Ehud Barak briefed the Labor faction on his visit to Washington, saying that "we have a deep and serious foundation of relations with the United State, despite the disagreements."

He added, "I am convinced that on the diplomatic level, and this is the Labor Party's stance as well, we must welcome the initiative for a regional agreement presented by US President Barack Obama. The government is committed to all agreements signed by previous agreements, as well as to the Road Map, which explicitly includes the commitment for a two-state solution."
