Netanyahu to meet with security officials on Monday

(Maannews). Prime minister Netanyahu is scheduled to preside over a meeting comprising high-profile security officers to discuss Hamas' status and might in the Gaza Strip, Israeli sources said.

The meeting will also tackle Israel’s relations with other countries, particularly the NATO countries, in an attempt to discover how weapons are smuggled from Iran to the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu will also listen to updates about the security status from his defence minister, Ehud Barak, and from his chief of staff, Gabi Ashkenazi, the head of the Mossad, the head of military investigations, and the deputy defence minister.

The Israeli cabinet’s weekly meeting has been delayed to Monday due to governmental procedures which necessitate that documents and material to be discussed by the cabinet should be submitted to the government’s legal consultant secretariat 48 hours before being discussed.
