Netanyahu In Beer Sheba: These Days, All Israeli Towns are bordering Gaza

Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu met last night (Tuesday) with the recently elected Beer Sheba mayor Rubik Danilovic in a tour he held in the southern town which was recently added to the range of Hamas missiles. In the meeting Netanyahu stressed the importance of uprooting the Hamas regime and achieving goals within the current army operation which would insure that the terror organization would not succeed in rebuilding its power”.

“The IDF is facing an enemy that made it their mission to destroy us”, said Netanyahu. “This enemy must be defeated” he added and said that Beer Sheba’s becoming within Hamas’ range of fire means that now all of Israel is on the border of Gaza. “If we don’t confront this situation, all of Israel will enter the missile-range of this giant terror-base established in Gaza”. Netanyahu added that also in the North there is a terror-base with a missile range that covers most of Israel. “No country can live under such a threat”, said Netanyahu who expressed his support in the IDF operation and the necessity in achieving goals that would remove that threat. “The minimal goal should be closing the Philadelphi Corridor in order to insure that we will not return to a fictitious lull which will enable the Hamas to increase the range of its missiles” said Netanyahu who considers the toppling of the Hamas regime as an essential Israeli goal.

“I’ve met this morning with foreign ministers of the European Union, French President Sarcozy and Tony Blair, the Quartet’s ME Envoy, and told them that their countries would act in the exact same manner “, said Netanyahu, “I think most countries agree with this point but we must prepare ourselves for pressure from the world public opinion and be ready to ward-off attacks and accusations in a firm manner, I am personally doing my best on this front” said Netanyahu and stressed the importance of buying time and political leeway needed for completion of the mission.
