Livni: PM made the right move in speech

(Ynet).Kadima Chairwoman Tzipi Livni said at a party faction meeting in Knesset on Monday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "made the right move" by mentioning the two-state solution in his policy speech Sunday.

"While (mentioning the two-state solution was done) hesitantly, under pressure and with a lot of 'buts' and 'ifs', it was the right move. Yesterday an Israeli consensus was mentioned. There is no dispute over the right of the people of Israel over the land of Israel, or over the need to maintain Israel's security," she said, "This is the true test of the government of Israel. If the words are translated into actual initiative, we will support."

"There has always been an internal consensus in Israel on security matters, on keeping Israel as the Jewish state. Divisions arose on the way to secure these things."

"No less important is doing what is right. The opposition is responsible for making sure that words are not just said in vain and that action takes place. This is a test to Netanyahu, to the opposition, to the government," Livni concluded.
