(Globeandmail).Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper invited his newly installed Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu to visit Canada in a phone conversation on Thursday.
In what the Prime Minister's Office called a “congratulatory phone call,” Mr. Harper and Mr. Netanyahu discussed the economic crisis and “regional dynamics” affecting the peace process.
Both leaders agreed to meet, and Mr. Harper extended an invitation to host Mr. Netanyahu on Canadian soil, the PMO said.
