Secret service read the Polls:Netanyahu had to cut short Machne Yehuda market tour after 10 minutes

Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu's tour of Jerusalem's Mahaneh Yehuda Market was stopped minutes after it began Wednesday, due to security considerations.

The extended security detail guarding him effectively prevented Netanyahu from coming in contact with any of the market goers. He was also made to wear a bulletproof vest at the Shin Bet's demand.

Sources in Netanyahu's headquarters said that the Shin Bet department in charge of security of important persons told them the extra security measures were related to the fact that Wednesday was the one-year anniversary of the killing of Hizbullah leader Imad Mughniyeh.
